This is the face of the sweetest baby, EVER.....

Cooper has got to be the sweetest, most loving baby in the WORLD! He gives out hugs and kisses all day. They may be a little slobbery, so if you are afraid of drool...stay away. But, if you want some sweet lovin, Coop is the babe to look for! He will look at you with that precious, unique smile and melt your heart. And his eyes....oh his eyes, a perfect shade of brownish green, they will literally penetrate your soul! If you think I am exaggerating, come hang out with him.....you'll see. GOD DEFINITELY made no mistake when he surprised our family with him. He is perfectly perfect! Can you tell I'm in love....all over again!

Sounds like I'm describing a new born, doesn't it. I think I am melting lately because things are not quite as crazy as they used to me and I can really enjoy the moment and get to know him. He's precious I tell you......

Happy Fall Ya'll!

We had a great time at Southern Belle Farm! The boys picked pumpkins, rode on the hayride, shot corn from a cannon, picked cotton, watched the pig races, slid down a HUGE slide, and MUCH MUCH more! We had such a great time and the weather was perfect!

Setting Blog for Private Readers Only

It is beginning to creep me out that strangers can read about our family happenings. So...I am setting the blog to private! If you would like to continue reading our family stories, send me your email address and I'll add you as a private reader! The only thing that will change is that you will have to log in with your email address before you can see the page! There are just so many "weirdo's" out there these days! I will set it to private in a few days!

Cohen is in Kindergarten!

Cohen is growing up too! But we all know that....he's acted like he's 13 for a few years! He loves school, loves his teacher, and is meeting lots of new friends.

Our baby is ONE!

We celebrated Coop's 1st birthday this weekend! I have been an emotional wreck about it. I had a good time planning his party and celebrating with family and friends, but when I started to actually think about him getting older, moving from “baby” to “toddler”, I became a mess.

An emotional mess.

I started fast-forwarding to a few years down the road when he won’t just come up to me and give me kisses. To the time when I drop him off at school and he shies away from hugging me because he’s too embarrassed. To the time when I won’t be his whole world and he’ll choose playing with his friends more than me. Then driving and him going off to college. Him meeting a girl. Getting married....etc, etc!!!!! I just cry at the drop of a hat when I think about him getting older!

This morning I cried when I left him in the church nursery and cried when they came to get me because he was crying for me!

I’m a mess. M.E.S.S!

I cry because he doesn't need to nurse anymore, I don't have to pack him bottles anymore...He is growing up!

He needs me now and I will cherish his hugs and kisses FOREVER! I want to remember those open mouth slobbery, wet kisses. Those sideways hugs and big bright smile he gives when he sees me. The crooked way he crawls when I get to the babysitter and he is so excited to get into my arms--he just looks at the floor and crawls as fast as he can to get to me! (See I am getting teary now). With the other boys, I wasn't so sad when they turned one. Maybe because I knew there would be babies to follow....Coop is our baby. Our baby FOREVER! I know that I can’t hold on to my baby forever, but he’s just growing up so fast. A lot faster than I ever imagined.

It really makes me so sad on one hand, but on the other, it’s really exciting to see him growing up and exploring so much. He’s such a curious little boy and wants to know about everything and wants to do everything his brothers do.

Sure there are times when I get frustrated or feel like I could sleep for 3 more hours in the morning, but I’m not taking anything for granted. Babies aren’t babies for a long time and I’m so blessed that I was chosen to be Coop’s mom. I love him (and his big brothers)more than anything and in the "rough" moments, I remind myself of this. I’m cherishing the times, good and bad, because I know that they will pass so fast.

Gone within a blink of an eye really.

I love you, Cooper Lawson Day! Happy First Birthday!!!

Busy Busy Bees.....

..."de's a bee in dea" as Evan would say!

So many things have been going on in the Day household. We have been busy and having fun as always-collecting rocks, visiting Helen, tubing the river, painting with pudding, swimming, running in the water hose, going to Six Flags.....you name it, we have done it. Cohen said, "man, we have been busy this summer!" And he is RIGHT!

Only about 2 more weeks until Cohen starts Kindergarten! I just can not believe it. I am excited and sad at the same time. I can't believe he is growing up so quickly, but I am THRILLED he will be with me all day! I can't wait until all my boys are at school with me!!!

CAUTION:COHEN FUNNIES AHEAD---
Scene: Cohen looking at my picture i.d for work and reading it like he does EVERYTHING lately. Cohen: What kind of stuff do you think we will do at my tree school? Me: What is a tree school? C: You know, my new school for Kindergarten. Me: Puzzled look. C: It says Unity Grove Elemen"tree". That boy..............

He has been walking around singing "rain makes corn, and corn makes whisky, whisky makes my baby feel a little frisky!!"

I asked help me do something and he said, "no, mom, that is so lame!" WHAT???? Since when does a 5 year old say something is "lame?"

Evan is just as funny as ever. Those eyes will get me every time. I told Jeremy we need to call him the "Blue-eyed Bandit." He will do something so naughty and when I go to get onto him, he just smiles that sweet smile and bats those eyes and I just forget about his punishment!!!! He does not sit still for one second. He is so busy! Cooper too! They keep me hopping all day. They climb on each other and tables and chairs and jump off. I can't believe how fearless they are! Fearless of getting in time out too!!! They could care less. Well, Coop is a little more reluctant when I tell him he will have time out. He usually will stop....Evan NO WAY. He just keeps on keeping on and laughs the whole way!

It is like having twins now that Coop is mobile. I was trying to keep them from sharing cups, but I have given up! They swap and trade all day long!

Cooper has 7 teeth! Way more than the other boys had!!!! He is so cute when he smiles too. He has this crooked little smile that will just melt your heart. He LOVES LOVES LOVES to eat. He is eating table food and pretty much has what we have for dinner. He still nurses in the morning and before bed, but has sippy cups throughout the day. I have given him milk a few times and he loves it. I will LOVE when i don't have to buy baby food or formula ever again!!!

Florida Trip

We made a trip to Florida at the beginning of June! We wanted to get there before the oil spill made it to Panama City Beach! We went at the perfect time! The water was BEAUTIFUL and the beaches were perfect! This was our first time going on a vacation with just us! We missed having the helping hands around, but we had a ball. Here are a few pictures!

Cohen loved the beach and we went for about an hour each morning while the littles took a morning nap. We had to go without them as they HATED the sand! Cohen did too when he was little so hopefully they will grow to love it! After the littles would wake up, whoever was on nap duty for the morning...usually me, as Jeremy hates the sand too!!!, would pack up the babies and head to the pool. We would all swim until around lunch time and then head up for lunch and afternoon naps. After nap time, we would get dressed and head out on the town for some fun. We went to Pier Park for some shopping, had wonderful dinners out, rode rides, and played putt-putt! We LOVED our trip to the beach,

Family Pictures

We had our sweet friend Melissa Gibson of MG Photography take some much needed family pictures. I think the last professional pictures we had were when Cohen was itty-bitty! We think they turned out great! Do you?

Disney

Where oh where has my little boy gone????

Cooper is growing up too fast! He is SITTING up now. I can't even believe it! He skipped right over the tripod sitting--you know, where they prop themselves up with their hands--and went straight to sitting up playing with toys! He is sooo sooo cute too. He has this little smile that just gets you right in the heart. Because of this smile, he is SPOILED ROTTEN! He barely makes a whimper and Jeremy and I are right there to swoop him up. He is so cuddly once you pick him up too. I tell him he is like a baby koala bear. He just hangs on and enjoys the ride! So needless to say, he wants to be held all the time! I don't mind, but my house is suffering because of it! Boy oh boy is it a MESS! I just give myself the daily reminder of "one day you will miss this" and try to look past he mess and step over the toys! We love that baby to pieces. He is our "sweets" as Cohen calls him!

Cooper is 5 months old......

.....already!

Ok, so I never got the rolling over on video! I did gets lots of the "almost rolling" in the previous weeks, but no actual rolling!

Cooper is the PERFECT...capital P, baby EVER! EVER, I tell you! I have two others of my own and have been around TONS so I can honestly say this! He smiles, coos, laughs (belly laughs), observes, points, grabs, and pulls on toys and clothes. Did you notice I didn't say CRY!!! I mean it....he rarely cries. If he is crying, something is wrong. He is either hungry, completely soaking wet, or one of his brothers hit him in the head with something :)!

He is the funniest little guy. He will grab anything that is near him and pull it straight to his face! Tonight, he grabbed the bag of wipes and tried to eat it. Cohen just laughed and laughed! He splashes in the tub like a wild man! He thinks it is so funny. I am wetter than he is when we are done.

After bath time, he can' wait for his massage. He just looks at me with those gorgeous, full lips and then rolls his big, brown eyes up to the ceiling like he is in pure bliss!!! MMMMMM......that baby is delicious!!!!!

He LOVES his brothers. He thinks they are the funniest guys around! He will watch them as they play and when one pops over to say hello, he shrills with laughter! Precious! I love watching their bond grow stronger each day!

He loves solids! We started a few weeks ago and he has had rice, oatmeal., bananas, apples, pears, sweet potatoes, and squash. He favorite so far is squash...which is kind of weird! He still loves to nurse and often times refuses a bottle. It is kind of annoying for the person holding the bottle, but I love that I am still breastfeeding and it is soooo easy now!!!!

I think I see a tooth right under the gums. This is very weird to me since the other boy were over a year old when they got their first tooth. (Evan still only has a few!) I am not sure if the tooth will pop up soon or not! We shall see!

5 months has flown by! Can't wait to see what we have in store!!

Yay!!

He is a roller!! Yay! He finally rolled over! The boys and I were so excited tonight when Cooper decided to finally roll over! He has been working in it for weeks now! WEEKS! He has been kicking and kicking that leg and just couldn't get all the way over! He did it tonight!

I put him down on his back to pick out all the boys clothes for tomorrow and when I turned back around....poof! He was on his belly justa' smilin'!!! We clapped and cheered and Cohen told him he would give him 10 skittles for that when he got old enough!!!

As excited as I was.....I couldn't believe I missed the big event! I have been watching and waiting so long!!!! We all gathered on the floor in a circle for our night time story us on our bellies and Coop on his back again. Then, then , then....he did it again and we all saw this time!! YAY, COOP!!! We cheered again and gave lots of kisses and hugs and he just smiled even bigger!

I wonder what he will do next??

Pictures of the big event tomorrow at our 5 month old post!

Update!

Been too long, huh? I don't actually know what has taken me so long to post! Hmm....maybe, Thanksgiving or Christmas or the New Year or going back to work??? Anyway, as always we have been busy around here! The boys are doing great! We are actually getting into a nice routine! It is nice to know we have a set bedtime again! Cooper lays down at around 8:0 right along with the "big boys" and I can FINALLY get some things done around this house! I wonder if it will ever be clean again??? I. HOPE. SO!!!! For now, I will just try to enjoy a crowded, messy, house with lots of love rather than an clean house that is too quiet and empty!!

Cooper is 4 months old already! He is trying to sit up and strains to pull his head and chest up when he is in his bouncy seat. He also trys to pull himself to sit up in the bathtub. He did once and his face went under the water. JUST. A. LITTLE. Ok--it was more than just a little, but I saved him okay???? Don't judge......he is the 3rd child you know??

He also REALLY wants to roll over. He can get halfway over--minus his one little shoulder. It is so funny. He kicks and kicks his leg trying to get over and just can't make it yet. I think it will be soon. I think it is because he is so fat (Shh..don' tell Cohen I called Cooper "fat". It is the new naughty word for the day--You see...Cohen has been calling a little girl in his class fat and we had to have a "THE TALK" about what you can and can't say out loud!)

Anyway, Cooper can't get over quite far enough due to the "chubbiness of his stature"! He is 95% still for his weight--18 lbs, 13 ozs, and 80% for height. I can't remember the exact measurement for that--again...3rd baby you know!

He recently started rice and he LOVES LOVES LOVES it. He has also had apples and bananas. With the other boys, I had to shove the food in for the first few months or so until they got the hang of it. Cooper opens his little mouth and practically leaps onto to the spoon! He is hungry! He has to keep up that chubbiness somehow! He loves bananas the best by the way.

He is finally sleeping more at night. He goes down at 8:00 and sleeps until 2ish and then back down until 6ish! THANK YOU GOD! I still could use a little more sleep, but I am thankful that I have more than 3 hours in a row at least!

Evan is still Evan. Definitely a middle child. He does ANYTHING to get attention (throw food, color on the wall, throw his cup, hit the baby in the head with the remote). You get the idea. He's a M.E.S.S!!! He is really beginning to talk well. He can clearly say nana, gaga, papa, dede, mama, mimi, dada, doggie, car, all done, tree, and oh no. He says Bubba too but only we can recogize it. It sounds more like "unkuba". Jeremy and I believe he speaks another language. He has conversations with us that he clearly understands and we do not! He is going to be our class clown! Boy is he funny!

Cohen is still his silly, smart, funny self. Stay tuned for more posts of his funnies.

Possible snow day tomorrow! Praying for snow!
