Cohen had his first T-ball practice of the season today. He had a great time and was so excited about being back on the field. He asked if everyone would remember him and he didn't want to wear his toboggan in case people couldn't see him. He was amazed that the field and coach looked the same. It was funny. He acted as if we had been gone for years and years.
Evan is finally getting better from his RSV. Jeremy took him to the doctor on Friday and she said he sounded much better. The congestion had moved up in his chest and he wasn't wheezing. She said we should be able to stop the breathing treatment after this weekend. Thank goodness. We have been doing this for over a month. He is sitting up great and loves to play with all Cohen's toys. He really loves to grab paper and crinkle it up.
Cohen is running a fever now. I noticed his ears were all red and his cheeks were bright red. I felt him and he was burning up. The thermometer did not say he had a temp. but I trusted my mommy instinct and gave him some Tylenol and lots of cold water. I put a pull up on him for bed which I thought he would protest, but he laughed and thought it was hilarious. He usually doesn't need one, but I am going to give him lots of drink tonight and didn't want him to wet the bed. I hope the fever is nothing serious. I guess we will know more tomorrow.

Cohen-ness...............
This morning as I am in the shower, Cohen shows up with a sombrero type hat on--the one I bought in the Bahamas on our honeymoon. He has been playing dress up in my closet while I showered. He opens the shower and says "I am a sir. What would you like to eat?" NOTHING COHEN.... I am still half asleep. He keeps asking, so I finally just say a biscuit. He goes in his room and brings me a biscuit. (Let me stop to remind you it is 5:45 in the MORNING! I am in NO mood to play.) I try to ignore him, but he changes the game.
He then comes to me with a business card of some random car salesman with a picture of a Honda Pilot on it (we are car shopping right now for a car that will hold 3 kids!) and asks me if this is the car I want. I don't answer him so he get LOUDER and LOUDER! I remind him that Jeremy is asleep and he would be better off not wake him up. He says, "I am a sir and Mr. Day will not mind. Now what car do you want?" Let me remind you....it is 5:47 in the MORNING!!!!! I am tired! I say, "which ever, I don't care." But this is not good enough for "sir"!!!!! I tell him I want a black truck and he says ok, I will get it. He leaves to go get the truck and I lock the bathroom door!!!
So what...............I need some peace and quiet for a few minutes at 5:49 in the morning!

Finally sitting!!!!!!!!!!!!
After having me thinking he was a "late bloomer", (and maybe he is...I am ok with that--he does wait until the last minute to do everything), he sat up like a champ tonight! He is so cute! I love looking at that little face sitting up. Those beautiful blue eyes are so precious!!!
And presenting....................

And presenting....................

He's a genius!!!!!
I already knew that Cohen was a very smart little boy. He knows all his letters, most of the sounds, he can rhyme words, sound out some words, count to 20, recognizes all the numbers to 29, knows his address and blah blah blah on and on. Well...tonight we were having the house specialty--fish sticks! He loves to help me cook so I asked him to get 7 out of the bag and put them on the pan. After making two "t's" with 4 of them, he gets out 8 fish sticks and puts them on the pan. He said ok, "I'm done". I told him to count again. He said I have 8. I reminded him I said 7. "Oh" he said, "I need to take away 8". I told him he can't take away 8 that would be all of them. He said "I know mom, I need to take away number 8 (the 8th one). He put it back in the bag and said "ok, now 7"!!! He's a genius.........................HE CAN SUBTRACT! Some of my first graders can't even do this!

Big Brother....again!
So we told Cohen that we are going to have another baby. After we told him, he just stood there and looked at us and then said "no!" We let him know that it was too late and that we were going to have a new baby. He finally came around to the idea and seems ok with it now. He did tell us that he was not interested in sharing a room so I guess he will be moving upstairs sometime soon!
He is such a good brother. I was just thinking this morning that for almost 4 years he had Mommy and Daddy all to himself. Never having to "wait" if he needed anything. For the last 7 months he has been so patient having to share his Mommy and Daddy, his blankets, his beloved "blue chair", his toys, and his TV. I hate to think that it is only going to get worse. Or better--depending on how you look at it. I think that in time he will LOVE having two brothers or a brother and a sister to play with and love. Already, he is so loving to Evan. He always wants to hold him and kiss him all over. He is always showing Evan how to do things and "watching" him while I step out of the room. He is so loving and caring to everyone. Not wanting anyone to be sad or mad.
He will make a wonderful big brother...again and is already such a help to Mommy, Daddy and Evan! We are blessed to have him as our first baby, our big boy, and now our big brother helper!

It's been a long time........
It's been a long time since the last update! I could not figure out why I have been so tired. I would get the boys all tucked in bed and sit down to write and dose off right away. It was really weird because I always look forward to writing and just couldn't work up the energy! Well, now I know why! We are having another baby. At first we were very shocked, but now we are sooooooo thrilled! We will figure out the details like how to pay for it, where to put it, etc later!!!! SHHHHH......don't tell Cohen. He says he will call the police if we get another baby and they will take it to Christy and Randall. We have not broken the news to him yet.
Anyway, Cohen is still his silly self. He's just been up to the same ol' imaginative play. Jeremy has been the tennis ball to Cohen's tennis racket (a book)...now that was funny!!!!, Evan has been a road for Cohen's hot wheel cars, and I have been "Amy" while he plays like Jeremy. His buddy, Robot Silly, from China has been visiting a lot lately so that has been fun. His name is Robot Silly because he is silly and he walks like a robot. Cohen goes to China often to visit, but Robot Silly comes to our house most of the time.
Evan is 7 months old today!!!! Time is flying. Cohen wonders why Evan gets to have a birthday all the time and he is still 4. He said, "Evan keeps getting older and older and I just stay the same."
Evan is still a wonderful baby. He loves to laugh and play all day. His favorite person to laugh at is Cohen. He thinks he hung the moon. He will not sleep if Cohen is not home and he looks around for him all day if he is not there. So sweet!!! He is still sleeping through the night and wakes up around 8 am. He is eating baby food for lunch and dinner now and he is a good eater. He is babbling a lot saying babababa, gagagagag, dadadada. It is really sweet! Putting things in his mouth is his FAVORITE thing to do right now. He tries to eat EVERYTHING he touches. He really loves to eat paper! He is trying to sit up. He is actually getting pretty good and can stay up for a few minutes. He gets really mad when he falls over or if he can't do something. He will grunt really loud and turn all red. I guess he might have a little temper!!! He LOVES splashing in the tub. When we are done with bath time, I am soaked!! He laughs and splashes, laughs and splashes. He does not want to hold his bottle. He did it for the first time the other day, but he would much rather we hold it!! LIke I said, he is wonderful and we are enjoying every second of being his parents!!!
Well, that's all for now. Here are some pictures!
