The Christmas Story

For a few weeks now, it seems we have been living in a real life version of The Christmas Story--you know...the movie they play 100 times in December?

And here's why......

1. Cohen ordered that spy pen weeks ago and has been waiting and waiting for it to arrive. He checks the mail EVERYDAY. EVERY. DAY. to see if it's here. It never is. I feel like I live with the kid from The Christmas Story...I don't know his name....the one that is waiting on the secret decoder!?!?!

2. The boys want Ovaltine every night in their milk......you get it? Remember the secret code on the boys decoder when it finally arrived was "drink more Ovaltine"??

3. Cooper eats like a little piggy just like the kid brother in the movie! I mean head down, mouth in plate, and food flying everywhere!

4. Then today....to top it ALL off! I got all my fingers super glued together....and I felt like the kid with his tongue stuck to the frozen pole! (Why did I need super glue you ask? One word......EVAN!)

I guess I should say.....Merry Christmas!

I'm just waiting for a package to show up at our door with a tall leg lamp in it!!!!!

My Favorite Sayings At The Moment

Cohen:
---When we're doing something he likes "Oh yea, this is the life!" With hands propped behind his head.
---As Evan is hitting him with a stick "Mama, can you please tell the kid I am NOT a pinata!"

Evan:
---Copying Toy Story 3 (about 100 times a day) "Andy, Andy, Andy, that's all you ever talk about." Then smiles and nudges Cohen to do it! "Ooo do it, Bubba" They laugh and laugh!
---Counting "One, two, three, one"
---After you tell him you love him he says "Dis much" and spreads his arms really big.

Cooper:
---After tasting something he loves "Yuck" (I think he's got this one confused!)
---When you tell him to call Evan "Tum ear Er"

Hurry Up Spy Pen!

Cohen has been collecting points off the back of cereal boxes for a few weeks! He saw a spy pen on the back of the box that he just had to have. It writes a secret message in invisible ink and then you shine a flashlight that is on the other side of the pen onto the message and it is revealed! I know....sounds so exciting!

We have never done this before but he has been obsesesed with this Cars 2 Spy Pen so we have been tearing the codes off each box. He finally had enough points so we went online and registered. We entered our codes and ORDERED THE PEN! He was sooooo excited!

He has been checking the mail box daily awaiting this pen. I feel like I live with the kid from The Christmas Story movie that is waiting on the secret decoder pen.

The spy pen could take up to 90 days to arrive! I will keep you posted when it comes. Until then, if you need Cohen, you may want to check at the end of the driveway the mailbox.

Potty Training Fun

We are potty training Evan. It is going well except for the.....how should I say this? Well, the...... pooping part! He just refuses to go poo-poo in the potty for some reason. We are continuing to work on it though and I know he'll get it. You see, I can be as stubborn as him and I WILL WIN!
Anyway, a couple days back Cooper came running and grabbed my finger saying "poo in dare, poo in dare" while he was pointing to the bathroom. I was SO EXCITED! I ran in the bathroom ready to cheer for Evan. Until........

I saw this. Oops! Wrong poo!!! It was Pooh (you know, the bear?)!! At least some kind of Pooh ended up in the toilet! Needless to say, I didn't cheer for Evan, but I did LOL (you know, laugh out loud??)

Silly boys!

A night at the.....

Braves game! Although it stormed like crazy, we had a ball at the game--no pun intended!!!

Little behind on this post....

Attempt at getting all the boys to look at the same time and smile--well, at least look somewhat happy. I tried......
