Snow Day #2
We were out of school again on Tuesday! Jeremy had to go into work so it was just me and the boys. I had the camera charged today so I got a little better pictures than yesterday's made with the ol' iPhone---Jeremy's iPhone that is......Evan threw mine in the bathtub! (Another story for another post.) Here's what we did today........

Snow Day 2011
Well....ice day really! We were thrilled that we didn't have school and Jeremy didn't have to go to work!!! We hardly ever have a day when we are all together with nothing to do--no errands, no games, no practice, no church, no school....NOTHING to do but hang out together and have some awesome family time. We had a great day! So, what did we do to fill the time?
We made dirt pie and the boys LOVED it. Well, except Cohen....he doesn't eat anything with "dirt" in the title apparently.......
And played in the "snow" of course. We tried to sled but didn't have much luck. Our homemade sled (a Rubbermaid container lid) didn't go much "sliding". It more just sank in the ice! Just found out the WD 40 was the trick.....I'll remember that next time!

We also had a dance party. Man, you should have seen Cooper's moves! And played Pictionary on the Wii. Jeremy is a much better drawer than Cohen and I.....but, we are great guessers!!!
To end a fabuolus day Jeremy and I had a "state". We love a state---stay at home date. We enjoyed coffee, Oreo truffles (oh yea, I made those today, too) and watched Knight and Day.
THANK YOU Snow Day 2011---we needed you!

Stone Mountain Christmas
We took a day and headed up to Stone Mountain Park to enjoy the Christmas festivities. We watched Polar Express 4D. It was a 3D showing of the movie (a 12 minute version) with shaking seats, falling snow, and squirts of water in our faces!! We really enjoyed the family time away from all the holiday stress of shopping, wrapping, cooking, etc. At the Christmas Village we played in the big barn, watched a parade, rode the train and looked at all the lights. Of course, my favorite thing was Mrs. Katie's Restuarant! They have "free" appetizers of fried pickles and sweet potatoes fries that they refill as many times as you ask. AND.....hand tossed rolls.....no really, they "toss them to you to catch in your hands!!!" The boys LOVED that--throwing rolls in a resturant!!! How fun!!! And those pickles....mmmmm......just thinking of it now makes my mouth water! The best fried pickles I have ever had. We will definitely be making this a family tradition! When the boys are a little older, we will add in Snow Mountain!!!
Christmas 2010
We had a wonderful Christmas. We hope you did too. It was so much fun this year. All the boys were old enough to really enjoy it. Santa had each boy's toys in seperate sections in the living room around the tree. They immediately strayed from their own section of course and headed straight for someone else's. No one seemed to mind though! Here is a little peek into our (crazy fun) morning........
