Stone Mountain Christmas

We took a day and headed up to Stone Mountain Park to enjoy the Christmas festivities. We watched Polar Express 4D. It was a 3D showing of the movie (a 12 minute version) with shaking seats, falling snow, and squirts of water in our faces!! We really enjoyed the family time away from all the holiday stress of shopping, wrapping, cooking, etc. At the Christmas Village we played in the big barn, watched a parade, rode the train and looked at all the lights. Of course, my favorite thing was Mrs. Katie's Restuarant! They have "free" appetizers of fried pickles and sweet potatoes fries that they refill as many times as you ask. AND.....hand tossed rolls.....no really, they "toss them to you to catch in your hands!!!" The boys LOVED that--throwing rolls in a resturant!!! How fun!!! And those pickles....mmmmm......just thinking of it now makes my mouth water! The best fried pickles I have ever had. We will definitely be making this a family tradition! When the boys are a little older, we will add in Snow Mountain!!!
