I can't even believe this day is here. My baby, Cooper, starts Pre-K tomorrow. It seems like just yesterday I was rocking him and singing him lullabies. Time is flying by! I have heard people say it all my life, but I never really understood until I became a mother. It breaks my heart. I want to keep them little forever. I especially love Cooper's age. Three and four has always been my favorite age!
I held him tight in his bed tonight and cried great big, crocodile tears as I prayed for time to slow down. I know it won't. Life just doesn't work that way. But I do know that I will hold him tight for now....while he is little.
Not to mention..... he's only three still! He's still a baby. He still has full, round cheeks and that deep belly laugh that makes me cry and laugh at the same time. He still wears a pull-ups at nap. He still needs help with his juice box. He makes a mess when he eats. He is a baby, but he's ready for school too. He has "that birthday"...the late August one that we teachers dread. He will always be the baby in the class. I could keep him out, but selfishly, I know he is one more year closer to being with me at school! I do look forward to having all my boys with me! And he's so smart. He's ready for school. Mommy isn't ready for school.
It makes me sad because I know all too well how much faster time goes by once they start school. Not sure why that is? Maybe it's because things get so busy and we forget to slow down and enjoy the moment. I promise I will SLOW DOWN! I will, I will. I want to cherish every moment and lock them in my memory to cherish forever. I want to remember how he smells when he wakes up. I want to remember the smell of apple juice on his breath. I want to remember that crooked smile that points perfectly up in the corners. I want to remember the sweet what he says his words with that precious lisp that I know he will out grow soon. I want to remember it ALL.
Memory....sometimes I try to recall the past and I just can seem to bring the picture to my mind. Like when they were babies. I just can't picture them. That's when I get on my computer (yes, I need to print them) and look at the pictures. The memories come flooding back...and the tears. And that's when I thank God for all the pictures I took. And Jeremy thanks me to---for, while I am taking the pictures, he complains the whole time! :)
Well, it's time. Time to go to bed and be early to rise the first day of Pre-K for my lovey! And I'm already a blubbering mess...I can barely see through the tears to type.
God, be with my sweet, sweet Cooper tomorrow at his first day of school! Keep him safe and help him to make many new friends. I love you, Cooper Lawson Day! I'll love you for ever. I'll like you for always. As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be.

Finally!!
I have been trying for MONTHS to get logged on to my blog--obviously since September 2012! I thought that they had begun charging for use of "blogspot.com" so I gave up and was going to start a new blog elsewhere. Little did I know that I was logged in under the wrong email (we have like 6 in our family) and that was the reason I couldn't find where to add a new post! YAY!
Be expecting lots of "catch up" post and lots of fun happenings this summer! :)
So excited to be back!

Cohen and Cooper's Birthday Party!
With Cohen and Cooper's birthday's only 2 weeks apart we decided to have a combo party this year to make it easier on everyone. Yes, including mommy and daddy! This way people didn't have to come to parties on back to back weekends. Also, Cohen's birthday always falls on Labor Day weekend and many people are out of town. Anyway, we had a fantastic bowling Bulldawg party! Having so many boys in one area doing a "rowdy" activity led to a little bit of chaos, but everyone had fun! I think it turned out great. Also, it got us in the mood to watch the Dawgs play! Stay tuned for Cohen's birthday interview....and Coop's if I can get him to cooperate!
