New camera pics...

Jeremy got me the camera I have been wanting for my birthday. I still have soooo much to learn and plan on taking some classes, but here are a few of the pictures I took with it.

Playing Mr. Potato head with daddy.

Cooper having fun in the playroom.
Sweet Cohen playing with his brothers.
Sweet Evan smiling at breakfast!
My handsome honey who is so sweetly being a guinea pig for all my practicing.

Snow Day #5

YES......I just said SNOW DAY #5! Can you believe we were out of school ALL WEEK? ALL. WEEK. Jeremy was off today. Praise the LORD! I was too nervous to drive on the ice so he finally took us out of the house! We shopped all day and had a blast. We got all the boys new Nikes--they needed some new ones! We got new throw pillows for the family room (who knew those things would cost an arm and a leg!) and some other decorations for the house. We enjoyed an awesome lunch at O'Charley's and took care of some other errands. Once again--the Day family had a fantastic day together!
Before we left we made a "big country breakfast." Whenever Jeremy is home on a weekend morning, the boys love (and yes, well, I love it too) for him to make pancakes, bacon, eggs.....all the works! This morning it felt fitting to make snowman pancakes--in celebration of us getting out of the house for the first time in a week. A. WEEK. Did you hear me? A. WEEK. I mean it was so sad. I felt like I was getting dressed for the prom. I was so excited to "get dressed up!" Here are some pics of our last snow day---hopefully for a very long time!

I thought Coop looked cute sitting on the fireplace!

I was trying to take a picture of the new pillows. Mainly trying to learn how to use my camera's settings--Melissa???? I think I'm gonna need some lessons--a little birdie told me I was getting a new camera for my birthday, so once I do--I'll really get busy!

Anyway...Evan wanted my attention and pitched a fit so I couldn't get a good shot!

These are the pillows on the over-sized chair. We got about 9 more (various patterns and textures) and they look fabulous! I love them!

Snow Day #4

Remember those green tissue paper confetti pieces? Look what we made!

Coop enjoyed watching TV in Cohen's lap!

P.S. I know almost all these snow days pictures are in our pj's. We didn't leave the house so we saw no need to change out of our "comfies". I enjoyed the decrease in laundry at least! :0)

Snow Day #3!

Out again on Wednesday.....We are really enjoying our time together but they are getting a little wild trapped in the house. We did not venture outside today--it was too cold! We did have fun in the house though.

The littles got into the craft drawer and treated the tissue paper squares like they were confetti!! It was a mess, but it did give me an inspiration for our craft for tomorrow!

We made cookies for Daddy. Sugar cookies of course....with LOTS and LOTS of sprinkles...LOTS!

Cohen also played coolmathforkids.com and watched Toy Story 3!

Today was a good day-not much arguing, only 2 temper tantrums, and only 2 poopy diapers! I however believe I may be getting strep throat again. UGH! I just had it about 2 months ago! Sore throat and feverish. I hope to feel better tomorrow-praying it's just a cold and my throat is scratchy!

Jeremy and I have caught up on our movies--Knight and Day, Salt, and Despicable Me (with Cohen) and I have finished all 4 Twilight books--I started them after Christmas and I am HOOKED. Jeremy and I will watch the movies soon!

Snow Day #2

We were out of school again on Tuesday! Jeremy had to go into work so it was just me and the boys. I had the camera charged today so I got a little better pictures than yesterday's made with the ol' iPhone---Jeremy's iPhone that is......Evan threw mine in the bathtub! (Another story for another post.) Here's what we did today........

Cohen and Evan shoveled the driveway like Daddy.

We practiced lacing and making patterns.

Snow Day 2011

Well....ice day really! We were thrilled that we didn't have school and Jeremy didn't have to go to work!!! We hardly ever have a day when we are all together with nothing to do--no errands, no games, no practice, no church, no school....NOTHING to do but hang out together and have some awesome family time. We had a great day! So, what did we do to fill the time?

We made dirt pie and the boys LOVED it. Well, except Cohen....he doesn't eat anything with "dirt" in the title apparently.......

Played with the Play-Doh factory....

And played in the "snow" of course. We tried to sled but didn't have much luck. Our homemade sled (a Rubbermaid container lid) didn't go much "sliding". It more just sank in the ice! Just found out the WD 40 was the trick.....I'll remember that next time!

And colored....

We also had a dance party. Man, you should have seen Cooper's moves! And played Pictionary on the Wii. Jeremy is a much better drawer than Cohen and I.....but, we are great guessers!!!

To end a fabuolus day Jeremy and I had a "state". We love a state---stay at home date. We enjoyed coffee, Oreo truffles (oh yea, I made those today, too) and watched Knight and Day.

THANK YOU Snow Day 2011---we needed you!
